Is that even legal?, many on social media are wondering after learning that Teen Mom alums Jenelle Evans and David Eason have adopted puppies.
Just two months ago, both Evans and Eason claimed in since-deleted posts on social media that he had killed her French bulldog in a fit of anger over Nugget’s allegedly “aggressive” behavior toward their 2-year-old Ensley. That resulted in her ouster from the hit MTV show and their three children being temporarily taken away.
But in a strange twist, police say that Evans told them she’d made the whole story up to get publicity and that they had not in fact gathered any evidence that indicated he had killed her dog. No charges were filed.
The strangeness continued with Eason’s YouTube announcement that they adopted two Anatolian shepherd dogs to protect their chickens from hawks and crows.
“They are one of the most unique types of dog I have ever seen and have the best temperament and disposition of any dog I have ever owned,” he wrote in the video description. “They are a livestock guardian breed and do not mind eating and sleeping with all our animals on The Land!”
About 7 minutes into the clip, which primarily features chickens clucking while he cooes at them, Eason introduces one of the puppies, explaining, “This is Buddy. Say ‘I’m the sweetest baby.'”
Eason later calls for the second puppy, Junior, and tells him: [“Say ‘I’m very, very gentle. I’m a very gentle boy. I’m a gentle giant. Yeah. Say. we don’t even jump on people, and we’re very calm.' Yeah. Say, ‘we love all the animals.’ So sweet.”] SOUNDCUE (:17 OC: . . .so sweet.)
Several people on social media called for “action” to be taken, and said that they shouldn’t be allowed to “have their kids, much less new dogs.”
