Elvis Costello & The Imposters have just announced their 24-date “Just Trust” fall tour. Costello and the band, who'll be out on the road this summer with Blondie, launch the autumn run on October 23rd in Charlottesville, Virginia at Sprint Pavilion, with the trek wrapping on November 26th in at Milwaukee's Miller High Life Theatre.

Costello will be backed by the Imposters, featuring Steve Nieve on keyboards, Pete Thomas on drums, and bass and vocalist Davey Faragher — along with singers Kitten Kuroi and Briana Lee. The tour announcement reads in part:

“The tour is entitled, 'Just Trust' in answer to the musical questions: 'Will they play my favorite song?,' or, 'Are they going to frighten the horses with a lot of excellent songs that are rarely performed?,' not to mention, 'Can I expect the hits of yesteryear and those of tomorrow?' To which we say: Just Trust Elvis Costello & The Imposters.”

At his 2016 induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Elvis Costello explained that he was forced to become a performer in order to sell his songs: “This honor means all the more to me because I am probably the least commercially successful songwriter to have ever (laughter) been inducted into the Hall of Fame. I am, if nothing else, persistent (laughter). I honestly did start out with the intention of being a backroom songwriter, so I have to be grateful to all the music publishers who thoughtfully sent back my demo tapes, because this forced me out of my bedroom and made me raise my most argumentative voice and stand up for my own songs.”
