Teen Mom 2 alums Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason appeared in court on Thursday, May 16th, after her sons, Jace, 9, and Kaiser, 4, and their daughter, Ensley, 2, were removed from their home. Technically, Jace was removed from their home; he lives with her mother, Barbara; but authorities are preventing Evans from seeing Jace until they complete an investigation.
The trouble began after Eason allegedly abused, then shot and killed her dog Nugget in front of Kaiser and Ensley. In a video posted to social media, Eason claimed Nugget was behaving aggressively toward Ensley.
Almost immediately, the public went into an uproar, calling on MTV to fire her and for authorities to intervene. MTV did in fact fire her (after several high-profile advertisers, including Chiptle and Twix, backed out of their contracts over the incident), and then authorities removed the kids from their care.
The pair were photographed entering and leaving court, reportedly to try to win the kdis back. After they left, children with blankets over their heads—thought to be the three children in question—were placed in a car and driven away.
The pair did not speak with reporters outside of the Columbus County, North Carolina courthouse.
