ROSE MCGOWAN REVEALS PREVIOUS ABORTION: Rose McGowan is opening up about a past abortion. The 45-year-old replied to a tweet saying that “1 in 4 women has an abortion by age 45,” by sharing, “I have had an abortion and I support this message.” She continued: “I am not ashamed, nor should you be. That 60% of those who choose to have abortions are already mothers says a lot — they understand more than anyone. I was on birth control and it failed. I realized I could not bring a child into my world and simultaneously change the world. I do not regret my decision and it was not made lightly. If you do not want an abortion, don’t get one. My body, my choice, my life. Have you had to make a choice? Let’s talk and use hashtag #HonestAbortion.”
STEVEN SPIELBERG CRITICIZED FOR TRYING TO BLOCK NETFLIX FROM OSCARS: Hollywood insiders are not happy with Steven Spielberg’s rumored plan to block Netflix films from Oscars contention. He will see what happens.” The backlash has started. Ava DuVernay, who received an Oscar nod for Netflix’s 13th, tweeted: “Dear Academy, this is a Board of Governors meeting. And regular branch members can’t be there. But I hope if this is true, that you’ll have filmmakers in the room or read statements from directors like me who feel differently.”
